Option 1 – A beautiful escape to the Ile d’Aix, an undiscovered Atlantic gem<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

First thing in the morning Fouras<\/strong> to embark at Pointe de la Fum\u00e9e. Leave your car in the parking lot, and enjoy Aix on foot, by bike or in a horse-drawn carriage….. Take the boat for a 20-minute crossing, and admire Fort Boyard<\/strong> is planted in the middle of the ocean, and we set foot on this little corner of paradise. Time seems to have stood still, and engines have been banished. All around you, a concentration of coastal landscapes: intimate coves, long stretches of sand, cliffs and steep paths, vineyards, maritime pine and holm oak forests….. In short, all the bounty of nature…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A lunch break at midday. Moules frites? Seafood platter? Pancakes? Sandwiches? You’ll easily find what you’re looking for, according to your tastes and hunger…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the cultural side, the Mus\u00e9e Africain and the Mus\u00e9e Napol\u00e9on, for history buffs. And, for your viewing pleasure, the Maison de la Nacre. From the simple shell to the final product: jewelry, decorative objects, dolls, etc… Leave with a lovely pearly souvenir <\/strong>to give or keep.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s time to catch the return boat. Take advantage of this late afternoon to stroll around Fouras and enjoy an ice cream. This pretty, family-friendly seaside resort is well worth a visit. Option 2 – A beautiful escape at Zoodyss\u00e9e<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

About 45 km from the g\u00eete, in the heart of the Chiz\u00e9 forest, remarkable wildlife awaits you. No giraffes or lions here, the stars are European animals: 800 happy animals in a 34-hectare park. Here, we’re not really in a zoo, we’re in a certified biological reserve that’s part of a genuine sustainable development approach.Stroll through the park, follow the map and experience several odysseys in one day, depending on where the animals come from: the forest, the countryside, northern zones, the Mediterranean, wetlands, not forgetting a mini-farm and an area for reptiles and amphibians. Animations and interactions with the animals allow you to playfully participate in their lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Picnic areas<\/strong> or restaurants for your lunch break and children’s play areas, everything is provided….. even a horse-drawn carriage with guide if you’ve forgotten your sneakers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And to round off the day, a short detour to Niort, a pretty little town on the banks of the S\u00e8vre. A very pleasant moment awaits you on the terrace of a caf\u00e9 facing the dungeon and the art deco hall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
